core-network software package provides intuitive network emulator that interacts with real nets (metapackage), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install core-network
core-network is installed in your system.
Make ensure the core-network package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep core-network *
You will get with core-network package name, version, architecture and description in a table
